In the verses quoted above from Psalms 91:11-12, we are assured that God concerns himself with His faithful believers. The third purpose of angels is to protect the paths of all believers. In Hebrews 13:2, we are warned to “e not forgetful to entertain strangers: for thereby some have entertained angels unawares.” 3. We cannot effectively pray to angels to deliver our petitions to God as some religions may claim. The second purpose of angels is to deliver a message from God. However, salvation and the reach of God are so very evidenced in heaven, the angels rejoice, exclaim, and praise His wondrous power and provision. They also have not experienced the redeeming and saving power of Jesus Christ. They have not experienced the heartaches and disappointments of life. In Revelation 5:12, John heard them “saying with a loud voice, worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive power, and riches, and wisdom, and strength, and honor, and glory, and blessing.”Īngels do not have the same relationship with Christ as we do. In Luke 2:13-14, we are told “nd suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying, glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men.” The primary purpose of angels is to give worship and praise to God. We can see in the Bible that angels have six specific purposes in the lives of believers.
